Meet the Artist: Aarav Mehta

Aarav Mehta paints the minute before a downpour — the held breath of a city about to be soaked.

Working in bold acrylics and mixed media from his Bengaluru studio, Aarav builds his canvases in layers, letting greens bleed into slate until the edges dissolve. "I'm not painting the rain," he says. "I'm painting the waiting."

His pieces on NIM Studio range from large gestural abstractions to smaller folk-inflected works. Each ships with a certificate of authenticity.
